I bought a Railgrabber from MSTN after finding that the factory Aimpoint mount sits way too low for an AR. This bugged me. Why pay so much for an Aimpoint and then have to spend still more to mount it on an AR15, the rifle it was almost made to use? I threw the stock ring into my junk parts drawer in disgust.

Then it dawned on me. I could mount a flashlight on my AR with the same worthless Aimpoint mount. After some searching I found Mag-Lite makes a two "C" cell light of the right diameter (1.25 inches) for $18.99.
I'm not sure what the shock of gunfire will do to the bulb. Since it's not a short duty/super bright bulb it may do okay, even when hot. On the other hand they're cheap to replace.

Anyone tried this?
