A healthy majority of Mexicans claim that their country
                           rightfully owns much of the southwestern United
                           States, while most Americans believe Washington
                           should adopt stricter immigration standards and
                           deploy U.S. troops along the border, a new poll says.

                           According to a just-published survey conducted by
                           Zogby International, the polling firm found that a
                           majority of Mexicans say the U.S. southwest "rightfully
                           belongs to Mexico," and that Mexican citizens should
                           be able to come into those areas freely, without U.S.
                           permission.

                           The poll found that 58 percent of Mexicans agree with
                           the statement, "The territory of the United States'
                           southwest rightfully belongs to Mexico." Zogby said 28
                           percent disagreed, while another 14 percent said they
                           weren't sure.

I agree. When I need to speak spanish just to order food or use an ATM, I've had it. English is the national language here. It's not choose what you want. We may need to clean house a little.

I definately am a minority here in West Texas.  I have more people speak to me in spanish on a daily basis that I do in english.  But then that depends on what part of town I'm in.  I just look at them and tell them "english" and they switch over with no problem.

What really chaps my hide though, is that we have a "Hispanic Chamber of Commerce" here but if I formed an "Anglo Chamber of Commerce"  I would be a racist.  Our local news runs all sorts of articles about "Hispanic" events and culture but if it were to run a "White persons" event it would probably be labled as KKK material.  But then again they wouldn't run anything like that because they have a hispanic bias.

It's fun when you work in a Hospital ER like I do, and someone comes in with an emergency and never bothered to learn ANY English before they came here to work (this has happend twice to me recently). [pissed]

Know why Texas is so big?  Because we wanted it that way.  We stopped at the Rio Grande because we didn't find anything across the border worth holding on to.

Guess the Mexicans are having a hard time finding anything worth holding on to on their side of the border as well.  

I don't know what "rightfully belongs to" is supposed to mean.  I know we killed alot of Mexicans for that ground awhile ago, we took it fair and square.  If they think its theirs because they were there first, well I suppose they reckon we should give the rest of the country back to the Native Americans because they were there before the Spanish or Portugese. But it ain't gonna happen.

Dukota, know why there is no "white history month" and no "anglo chamber of commerce?"  Because we really don't need em.  Every day to me is a celebration of my cultural history. Every day is white man's day-- my cultural history is the destruction or subjugation of every other culture my people have come across.  I proudly claim that as the legacy of my forefathers, and I reckon we will still rule the world for quite awhile no matter what a bunch of illegal aliens claim "rightfully" belong to them.  Unless other Americans, ashamed of our cultural heritage, give it all away.

The only country who could make the Southwest into anything but a barren wasteland is the US.  It used to be a big empty desert (excepting some parts of CA), but now it is rich and populated.  Sometimes it seems like too populated.  If the Mexicans got it back, it would be a big empty nothing again in 20 years.

So let's see if I got this straight, you came here to get a beter job and make more money because Mexico is what it is, and how that your here you think Mexico should take it back, do you think it will be better run by Mexico? maybe you do, I mean look and the paradise that Mexico is today..

I don't quite see where Mexico has turned it's acreage into something they think would benefit the rest of the world.  They need to focus on improving the lot of their own.

After they are here and become citizens I doubt their aspirations will be to subvert this republic to have a tasty little "banana republic" in it's place.  Seems at cross purposes although I do know we have a bunch of Aztlan commies in the colleges that might be ready to go that way.

They don't need to take anything by force. All they need is for the current population to continue reproducing at the rate they are, and in a generation or two, they will be the majority. I'm sure many of them will become as American as anyone else, but I also know more and more areas will become downright inhospitable to whitey in the process.

Furthermore, look at all the bills they're trying to pass in CA to grant illegals the same rights as citizens. This is just the beginning. AZ, NM, TX -- all of the Southwest will follow suit eventually. And white politicians will be there in force, selling out their own kind for votes.

The only hope is to stop all immigration from Mexico -- legal and otherwise. It will never happen, so you might as well learn Spanish tomorrow.

The poll says that MEXICANS as in from Mexico, (not Mexican Americans) feel this way about the Southwest. So let's be clear on that. Anyone who's ever been to Mexico shouldn't be surprised by this poll. After all Mexicans still resent having lost thier former territories to the US.

I feel that some of you guys are trying to make mountains out of mole hills. The vast majority of Mexican Americans will marry outside thier race and most will loose the ability to speak Spanish by the third generation. Despite what some of you may think, most of us will, or are already assimilated into the great American melting pot.

Also one more thing, these polls are conducted by phone, most people in this country have phones, but that is not true in Mexico. Only those who are well off can afford to have them, this means that the poll was not representative of all Mexicans. Because the poor, most of who immigrate here are poor, were not polled.
Those who are better off will more than likely remain in Mexico.

Come on guys, I am really dissapointed by some of the comments posted here. 90% of us want to be Americans and have proven our loyalty over and over again in America's war.

So cut out the bullshit and let's concentrate on protecting our gun rights.

They are in process of taking it by sheer numbers...   We have thousands a day crossing into Az. and only about 10 to 20 percent are caught...   These are fed, watered and taken back, until next week...   I see between 2 and 10 every day on the outskirts of Tucson on any given day...   Spanish is the language of choice around here...

I don't know in what part of the country some of you live in but here in the southwest we have a flood of illegals pouring over the border.Areas that were just occupied by a less affluent persons has now become a barrio. Nothing wrong with Hispanics but this bunch has brought along with them a defiance of law & order. Yes ,the crime rates in these areas have skyrocketed in the past 20 years I have been observing these changes.And no one cares to even consider learning English. Nothing wrong with speaking your native language at home as my family did , but in public we all strove to speak english.The Phoenix area has really turned into a crappy town to live in. There isn't anything we can do but grin & bear it until we get people elected that will do something about this issue. As for Mexican nationals thinking that MY PROPERTY belongs to them I say FUCK YOU ,MINE THE GODDAMN BORDERS.
