Any Star Trek fans here? Tell me: WHERE ARE THE MUSLIMS!?! Hahaha! I can't even imagine it! They would go around the galaxy with Captain Archer...and get offended at all the non-believers out there! I get the feeling they were all killed off before the Federation was formed, because they just couldn't co-exist with the prime directive...hell, now that I think of it, I can't picture ANY sci-fi scenario with Achmeds running around...we will probably never see interstellar travel until all those satanic bastards are exterminated...

suicide bomb.....

Not until someone comes up with a space suit for a camel.

I heard a great joke in a Mississippi bar last week:

Him:  "Do you remember the Muslim neighbor on The Jetsons?"

Me:  "Wait.  There was no Muslim neighbor on The Jetsons."
Him:  "Ain't the future great?"

Don't you remember the Wrath of Khan? He was supposed to be a genetically enhanced Arab Prince that helped bring about the Star Trek World's "Apocalypse" during the later half of the 21st century.

So even in the future, they're still causing "problems" for the rest of the world.

The Eugenics War. Took place back in the 1990s. In 1992, Khan Noonien Singh rose to rule one-fourth of the entire planet. Within a year, his fellow supermen seized power in 40 other nations. Terrible wars ensued, in part because the supermen fought among themselves. Entire populations were bombed out of existence, and Earth was on the verge of a new dark age. By 1996, the supermen were overthrown.

-From "The Star Trek Encyclopedia" copyright 1997. Wonder how we all forgot it so quickly....

FWIW- Dr. Bashir on DS9 is Arabic (I think- maybe Indian).  His real name is/was Siddig El Fadil before he changed it to Alexander

Anyone see the Visa Check commercial where kevin Bacon does the "Six Degrees" thing to write a check? TFF....

Muslim will never go to space. Well at least not the radical ones. Its hard to get the needed effect of a bombing in a vacuum environment. [;)]

This would be a really fascinating programming problem to solve. given the IMDB, find the Bacon number for each entry.

I think Lt. Ilia from Star Trek The Motion Picture was Indian (Hindu)...not Muslim...but there are Indians who convert to Islam & vice versa so that is an iffy.

Khan was an Arab....so I guess Muslims did make it to space...in the movies anyway.

It would be an interesting project to determine the religious background of all Astronauts...Russian, American, etc. to see how many were Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, etc...just for curiosity.
