I was at the airport barbershop last week and was waiting about 30 minutes or so. There was a guy I assume to be the owner and a younger woman who works for him/rents a chair. A guy comes in who works at the airport, he has on dickies with his name on the shirt so I figure he's a mechanic or whatever employed at the airport. The male barber finishes the guy he was working on and says to me, pointing at the guy who works at the airport, he works outside so I take him first, she will be with you in a minute.
Well the guy had been sitting there for a bout 5 minutes or less and was not at all impatient acting. So I figure that this barber probably makes most of his money off people who work at the airport so he decided to take this guy first and also wanted to service a repeat client himself and let his assistant handle the customer he will not see again (me).
If the other guy had looked at all impatient, had mentioned that he had to get going or had an appoinment I would have (maybe) acted differently & maybe I was just cranky that day, but I got up and walked out. I decided not to call the barber on it, it is his place of business and there were two customers there.
So what would you have done?
