...Bought Black Hawk Down on DVD? Actually, I went out sunday and finally bought a dvd player in anticipation.

See, I'm probably the ONLY person here who didn't go watch it in the theater (and probably the only person who didn't already have a DVD player). So I still haven't seen it yet.

Yes, that's right, I still haven't seen it yet. Reason being, I HATE going to see movies in the theater. First off, people annoy me. Secondly, you can't pause or rewind. And lastly, they don't sell beer at the movies.

So man I am STOKED to finally get a chance to see this thing.

Anyway, just a heads up to anybody who didn't know, Black Hawk Down is out of DVD!

I think I'm waiting for the special edition that is supposed to come out in a few months
I hate the movie industry, they keep pulling this bare bones edition then 3 months later a decent edition with extras

Watch the movie - then read the book.  It's icing on the cake!

HA! I'll have you all know that I, Zardoz, haven't seen it at the theatre. Nor do I own a DVD player, either! I am the king of "LO-tech." However, this does not mean that I haven't made arrangements with a friend of mine to make me a copy of it for my VCR!

Why do all of the soldiers have tape on their buttstocks?

I planned on getting it but got busy with work.

My advice....read the book before the movie.

Just mentioning Isreal will probably kick off some controversy but I saw Terminator 2 while ashore there and really enjoyed the experience. Everybody was real quiet, it was in english with Isreali subtitles, they served BEER and right about the middle of the movie they picked a good spot to stop it and we all went out took a whiz and bought another 5 gallon bucket of BEER! It was great.

See, THAT'S how going to the movies should be.

Oh, and yes I have already read the book. Twice.
