Yup, look's nice alright.

Yup, short barrel  Galil, usually carried by officers, but also by tank crews.  The Galil has been relegated to limited standard by the IDF.  Still used by tank crews, Artillery, and some Reserve units.

The M16 has basically become the general standard in recent years, primarily over the accuracy and weight issues.  Galil production has been shut down, but the machinery is still there in case it's needed some time.  U.S. parts houses, primarily SARCO in N.J., have bought up most of the spare parts.

Comparing my own Galil w/my AR's, the Galil is fun to shoot, but I get my X's w/ the AR15. [:D]

They have SAW's too.
