I could not find a coin collecting section to post in. Ive expanded my coin collection recently to include some official NGC registered coins and I noticed when I look them up on the NGC site they are marked with a price that is far above the price I paid.

Such as this:
http://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/CertResults.aspx?CertNumber=3491420-039

The price guide says $110.
It is a perfect PF70 Ultra Cameo.
476,999 of them were minted.
It's melt value is about $11.

I paid far less than $110. Far less than half even. And looking around I can easily find coins registered with the NGC that are for sale at much lower than the NGC price guide says.  Is the NGC price guide just an ideal collector price not really set in reality?

I hate to say it, but I think ebay is probably the best price guide when it comes to coins and collectibles.
