On the one hand, this is the worst thing an incumbent president can say, especially one who’s already struggling under the weight of comparisons to you-know-who.

On the other hand, what other answer could he give? If he sat there and tried to argue that things are improving, even Stephanopoulos might have busted out laughing. That’s how awful his political situation is right now. Like Biden talking about the economy, he’s forced to be brutally candid because even perfunctory optimistic spin would be derided as hopelessly out of touch. Better that he shows he’s in tune with the electorate’s mood, grim though it is, than cocoon himself in talking points.

Impeach Obama for the Good of America.

I'd really like to see a GOP candidate pledge that if elected, his administration would not publicly blame the previous administration for any current problems. Not only would it help set a higher standard of decorum for future administrations, but it would also draw attention to how cheesy the Obama administration has been in this regard.

I have to admit my family isn't any better off.  I'm going have to find ways to cut expenses with the expected rise in insurance rates.  The official unemployment rate in my area maybe in the 9's.  But, I am sure it is much higher than that.  Half of my immediate family (father, wife, and sister) isn't working, and I doubt they could find a job if they tried.

Earlier today, I had to listen to my mother complain about the rising insurance costs.  It was going to cost her and my father something like $3.5K for health insurance next year.  My father lost his job with about a year and half left before reaching retirement age.  Guess what?  Who would hire a person his age?  It was all I could do not to say, "Well, it is YOUR fault for voting for who you did for President last time around.  I guess you get what you deserve."  She works for a very liberal employer in Nashville (Vanderbilt University) so during the last Presidental campaign she sent me all of the move-on B.S.  She couldn't understand why I wasn't voting for Obama (maybe because he is AGAINST everything I stand for).  Both my wife and I have pretty much decided that she is hopelessly brainwashed by the libtards.

Why should what some A-hole in DC (by that I mean ANYone) have so much influence on your prosperity in the first place? Now we have identified the problem.

If you're viewing this from the perspective of "Obama is the leader, the person at the top of the tree, and is doing everything he can to save the country and the people", then this and the other crazy decisions of recent years make no sense.

Alternatively, If you're viewing this from the perspective of "Obama is a bought and paid for puppet, brought in to hammer in the final nail on empire USA" then everything makes perfect sense.

I have yet to see one (a GOP president) do so (blame the previous president).

It doesn't always happen with Repubs.  Reagan did with Carter, but Carter trashed the economy.  Bush Jr. didn't blame Clinton for much.  The next POTUS will talk about Obama, but Obama destroyed the economy.
