I don't go much for most fuel system type cleaners, but this stuff works really, really well.
It is an import from Germany, and I have yet to find it on the shelves anywhere local. http://reliantrapide.com/fuel-system-cleaner.html The oil system cleaner by the same company is nothing short of amazing. |

That is also who I get my Diesel lubricity additive from.

I use and like Lucas & Seafoam, but for HEAVY cleanning try BG 44K

Lucas makes good stuff. I haven't tried the fuel injector cleaner, but I've had great results with their other products, like their Power Steering Fluid. Great for stopping leaks in your steering rack as well.

It's a solvent that removes deposits. One good tip as far as keeping a fuel system clean and long lived is to not let it get below 1/4 tank. Very few vehicles come with external fuel filters these days and only have a sock over the pump inlet for filtering out crud. Keeping the pump submerged keeps it cool as well.

I tried it and lost power and fuel economy. Only about 2 MPG, but the power loss was noticeable. After, my fuel economy did NOT improve. Hard to tell about any power gains due to the time elapsed between tanks. It didn't do anything for me. I've never used Seafoam. |

I only use Lucas snake oils when I'm in desperation and trying to string as many miles as possible out of a failing part. I would not add any of that junk to a healthy system.

Did you use it in the tank, crankcase and through the brake vacuum hose?
