i've done that... and it was for a .30-06... my 223 went right through

I did the same thing to a smaller pepper popper. Pistols were no problem, buckshot was alright, even low recoil 12ga was alright. But the .223 punched a clean hole straight through. The thing didn't even move all that much when I hit it.

I had my .22lr spinning targets out for a team shoot a few years ago.. guy comes up to the impromptu line and starts shooting it with his AR.. fucker put clean holes through it

fixed with some welding, but still...fucker!
