I waited 8 months for Fusion Firearms in Binghampton, NY to build up this for me. It's their "Grand Sport Elite" which is based on the STI 2011Tactical 5.0 frame.

The Frame & Slide are finished in matte Ion Bond DLC, both barrels are polished Ion Bond DLC, and the small parts are finished in Yukon Coat T-11. The front sight is an XS tritium, rear sight is a 10-8 U-notch

1911 purists are probably going to hate that mine is built in 9x19 versus the traditional 45ACP but duty ammo is virtually unlimited. Thats also why I went with a 2011 double stack frame.

The suppressor pictured is a Titanium Abraxas by AWC.

Hope you guys enjoy the pics!

Nice pistol!! I've been pondering an STI Spartan in 9mm to keep my .45 1911 company.    9mm is just fun to shoot.

Some citizens in NY are more equal than others.   I'm guessing the LEO connection(s) are key in this situation.

Nice gun, though.

ETA: found this on another forum:
Under PL 265.20, peace officers are exempt from virtually all weapons restrictions, including possession of a silencer which is normally forbidden under 265.02. It makes no distinction between on and off-duty use.

BTW, no comment on the 9x19

First become an exempt person as defined by NYS Penal Law (LEO only) then proceed to get chumley with the CLEO at your dept. Then beg with them to sign your Form 1/Form 4 and then mail the ATF your paperwork, LEO credentials, and $200..

Wave, did you get the sign off or did you go the trust route? Only reason I ask is because I'm curious if the ATF will approve a trust for a NY'er.. My Sheriff wont sign the paperwork and I think the ATF will deny a NY trust..
