*** UPDATE 10/03 13:00 ***
Camera is no longer online. See last post. Thanks for the help! **************************************************************************** I got an inexpensive wifi IP camera that I plan to put in a warehouse as a cheapy security system. You can set it up so that the camera will email you if it detects movement. Give it a try and let me know how it works for you. If you can't connect, let me know what type of browser you are using. You should be able to pan the camera, etc. I want to make sure it works without glitches before I mount the thing up high in the warehouse. To connect go to this link and use user name temp. Leave password blank. http://74.100.11.120:85/ Note that it will be black and white for a few hours as it is night time and running on IR lights. So far for about $80 for a network wifi cam it seems decent. |

It's requesting a user name and password, so I'm unable to connect. I'm using Firefox 7.
Read post and made it on second attempt. |

Did she have a Bra over her shoulder? tell her to wave.. WTF

I dont know if it supports more than 1 user at a time. Seems slow now. So I wonder if a lot of people are using up the bandwidth?

LOL. She'd be pissed if she knew it was on. I can't even log into it now. I guess it is only made for one connection at a time.

Ive got an idea, if I do this same thing will it be an awesome way to log my friend's IP addresses...

This thread is timely. I'm looking for a *cheap* cam for my parents to use to check in on my grandmother during the day. I have a couple of cams, but they were like $250 each. This guy is about the right price, and seems to work well enough.
ETA: Is this the one you're using? $60 IP Camera |

I paid about $20 more to make sure I got the newer model as they fixed some sound problems. On mine the mic is sensitive and you can use it as a room monitor. You can also talk through the cam. However, unless you hook up an external speaker to the camera, the volume on the small internal speaker is very low. But don't start yelling stuff through my cam tonight. LOL. Here is the one I got. I first bought a Panasonic IP cam for over $300 without pan and tilt but it had a crappy image quality so I returned it. Playing with this one now a couple days and for around $80 seems like a keeper. I mainly want to be able to keep an eye on people working in the warehouse and have it email me photos of anyone going in and out after hours. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0046710G6 Looks like price has gone up a couple bucks but if it holds up that is still very very cheap price for a wifi network camera. |
works ok for night crew here. I might have to get one of these. hehe. What I really need is a DVR for the two cameras I have mounted on the front of my house.
You may want to check that the brightness is set to 6 and contrast to 4. Some people are changing the settings. Ok to change but set them back after you are done or hit the Default All link to put it back to stock after tinkering...

cool, I have to get one! Haha, I think I also want to get one to play with at home after I put this one in the warehouse. All you need is a power plug and WiFi signal to run it so a lot of options to where you could mount one. It is for indoor only as no globe to encase it. I wish they made one for outdoors too. I wanted a pan and tilt cam for a while but didn't want to pay $400+ for one. If anyone knows of other IP cams with pan and tilt control for under $100 let me know. So far this one seems like be most bang for the buck. |

When does the exotic dancer come out and ask for $7.99? I'm in my underwear now but not quite what you'd call an exotic dancer! |

mmmmmm I am just getting a red X What browser? If you have IE you may have to install an active X thing for the video to work. It should ask you that the first time you log in if you need the plug-in. |
Your cat was playing with the camera. He was looking at it all crazy when I moved it then that lady came and put the cat outside. Cool.
That is pretty slick.. been looking at em for a while now so I can watch my house while im gone.. thanks for posting this! You always wonder how good it actually looks.
It wants to install an ad––on to my system, which is a school network and cannot allow such changes.
BTW If you want to try out a very neat, very configurable software package, google Pysoft. I've been playing around with it for some time and it's neat! |
All I see is a couple of guys in ski masks loading a bunch of stuff into the back of a truck.

this is cool.
I'd like to get one. I have a friend who could see what who his wife is banging while away, I'm going to send him this link. |
I wish they would make these things with a wider angle lens. Gray Man? Is there such an animal?
What kind of camera is it? Looks nice, although I'm curious if it pans around all day long, how long it will keep that up before it starts to have problems.
Looks good to me. I like - I like!
I'm casing your joint... I saw a raccoon come through the cat door. What kind of coffee maker is that? Do you like it? No kids huh - too clean. |
