Went to test drive today as I want one for a summer fun vehicle next year.
Sticker for the Non Sema version Boss $42K + $8k markup Sticker for the Sema version $48K + $40K markup. Jesus H Christ on a crutch, who the fuck marks vehicles up that much? and where does that markup go anyway? The dealer? Premium I get, 8-40K FFFUUUUUUUU unreal!!! |
not uncommon on new hard to get shit
it goes right into the dealership owner's pocket its not new when the RX7 came to the states in 79 dealers were charging 2X sticker |
Wow that's crazy! I run a Ford Dealership and I sold my Laguna Seca for 8g over sticker...... That's fair for a car that they only are going to build 850 of..... I can't wait to see it at a Meecum Aution in 25 years!
They are retiring the retro look and redesigning it for next year's model. Might want to hold off and see if you like the new body style more.
I'm surprised you could test drive it. There's a huge dealer by me in an upscale area and they only got one this year, and it was pre sold long before it got on the lot.
Lots of demand for them, they're a sweet car. I'm kinda surprised Ford's letting dealerships mark them up that much though, it looks bad. |
Buddy of mine has a 302.
He loves it. I don't know what he paid but I'm sure it was north of 40K. |
I agree....The sales guys looks at me and says " well its negociable ". i said sure, throw in a decently loaded GT for 37 and we'll have a deal.

He bought their allocation - about three months before they even got it on the lot. And they were only allocated ONE. |

When I was a little kid back in the late 60s the Boss Hoss Mustang was the coolest Hot Wheel in existence. You could only get it from an order form on a box of Cheerios.
CSB fer sure |
Not it, but one they had. Ran my credit and they got really friendly when it came back at 825.

2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Makes 580 Horsepower
Stomps all over that crustang |

Quoted: 2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Makes 580 Horsepower Stomps all over that crustang $50k pricetag, and likely to have the same ridiculous dealer mark ups as the 302. |
I guarantee you that car will not leave a dealer lot for less than $75K for a very very long time

2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Makes 580 Horsepower Stomps all over that crustang I bet that even with all of the extra HP it isnt faster than the Boss. I have a 2010 Mustang GT, rated at 315HP. My car has Magnaflow Catback exhaust with 4" tips, JLT Intake and its tuned to a 91 octane performance tune. I have no issues beating SS Camaros and they are rated at 426HP. Now the ZR1 on the other hand. |
When i was working on getting a 2011 Ford Raptor they had a 8K mark up on it... the sales guy even said that all the raptor has a 8+K mark up...
Quoted: 302? What is that, some kind of small Euro 4-banger? Its the new Capri hear you liked those |

They were probably shitty drivers The new Coyote 5.0's are running the same times as the Camaro SS are stock and stock.....and the new Coyote has 412hp. |

Always going to be a "Market Value Adjustment" on new low production cars.
The first year the 350Z came out we were selling everyone we could get our hands for 10K+ over sticker. |

Got to tool around in this one early this month:

I will never be the chump that buys new again. Once and done.

Quoted: 2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Makes 580 Horsepower Stomps all over that crustang GT500 makes 550, is lighter, and I guarantee will handle better much, much better. The Boss302 wouldn't take it in the 1/4, but would kill it on the track. |

Why not just get one of these? http://www.roushperformance.com/2012-mustang-hyper-series.shtml The Hyper-Series RS3 is covered by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty |

I always enjoy the irony of bouncing into these threads after reading another "the economy is collapsing, nobody can afford to eat" thread.
unfortunately no matter how much they charge for the 302........ it's still a 4 letter F word

Nor do sedans have 2 doors. |
