Yesterday I noticed a spot on my neck, on the left side of the adam's apple. It's about as wide as my pinkie tip, and it's red . It hurts to touch it, and it feels slightly swollen. I'm afraid it might be throat cancer, but I don't have any other symptoms that would indicate it. The inside of my throat Isn't sore or swollen. Obviously, if it doesn't go away in a week or so, I'll probably see a doctor, but I don't want to jump the gun. It doesn't really look like cancer, but rather like a bug bite. Anybody have something like this? The only other things I could think of was a pimple or a bed sore. It feels too deep to be a pimple though.

Squeeze it. If it pops then it's not cancer. If it doesn't pop then dead man walking.

Ingrown hair?

Dibs on guns and ammo though, just in case.

Radiation from the microwave is causing a new head to sprout out of your neck.

Yes, you will die.

When, and of what, who can say.

See a doctor before jumping to unpleasant conclusions.

I'm honestly hoping that it is a pimple that just hasn't come to a head yet. I've never gotten a throat pimple before, so I wouldn't know what they feel like.

Herpeghonosyphilaids. The prognosis is grim, I'm sorry.

It could be cancer..................

but it's way more likely to be a cyst, or a pimple, or ingrown hair, or something else benign.  Just relax and see a doctor if it doesn't go away after a week.  The odds of it being something really bad are remote, there are dozens of other things it could be.

Your a little young for throat cancer.

Two packs a day for 50 years will put you in the running though.

My money is on ingrown hair/cyst/pimple/benign inflamed lesion thingamabob.

It happens.
