I use solid gold Dog food and like it. My Shiba was extremely under weight 3 year old when I adopted her and is now caught up. They also make a cat food. http://www.solidgoldhealth.com/products/?product=4&code=130 It is expensive but a $50 bag usually lasts 4 months.

...I recommend Taste of the Wild, Blue Buffalo or similar.
However my dog is on a Raw diet. edit I am not a vet. |

I use Iams Indoor weight and hairball formula. The cats are doing fine on it.
I feed the strays Purina Kitten Chow. |

If your kitty's doing fine, I'd advise against changing his food. Ours got REAL pissy when we attempted.
