The tax code is too big at this point. There is no way it ever goes away, or changes much at all. Keep dreaming.

What I don't like about the 9-9-9 plan is that it will institue a income tax and national sales tax at the same time. Sure the rates are lower now but the will go up. The only solution is to do away with income tax period and just put in a national sales tax that has charge the same rate for all items. So if they want to raise the tax rate they must raise it for everything and not for items that would be targeted at the wealthy or businesses.

We have a flat tax here in IL, they raised it 66.6% last year.
