These commemorative rifles (and pistols) are a very poor investment. They were the "Mitchell Mauser" of their heyday back in the '60s and '70s. Like any pre-made "collectible" (such as the the old Franklin Mint junk), they are are bubble waiting to pop. There are no doubt still a few who collect these rifles, but they want them to be literally untouched in the box with all the papers. I would value the rifle the same as a regular production example.
