So today I get statement from my Healthcare insurance company notifying me that I have a bill coming from Ancill Care which was denied for coverage. I started by calling insurance to see who ordered this and what exactly it was, they told me my Dr. ordered it...
So I placed a call into my Dr. and they said no we didn't order it that test, we were ordered by the D.E.A. Drug Enforcement Administration to take your piss test and send it to them. Stupid motherfuckers have to have the DEA in on my fucking life. Fuck I didn't sign anything that gave any Federal Government Agency the right to test me without my knowledge or consent. They wouldn't have gotten it, I guess the answer to getting something is to lie or just take it. The only thing I signed when I started seeing this Dr. was the consent form for injections which is signed whenever an injection is done for trigger points and at that it is only a local aneth...basically says if I die during or after the injection they aren't at fault, and I signed a form stating that I agree to pay them for their services, that was it! Wait it gets ever better. A fucking piss test...where you piss in a bottle that has test strips of different colors, and get this the muthrfucking test costs me $835 fucking dollars. That cost twice as much as the MRI I had done 3 weeks ago and 40 times more than the Xrays a month ago, this piss test was to see what exactly? That I am taking percocet as prescribed or to see if I am a druggie? FUCKKKKKKKKKKK To hell with big government make it smaller close this shit down. How fucking long will it be before the NO-Knock, subsequent shooting of my dog, and some asshole pumped up on adrenaline and testosterone kick down the door and take me away for taking a prescribed drug that I'm not even abusing, fucking 60 tablets have lasted me 120 Gawddamn days and the shit makes me itch like a sasquatch that fell into an anthill. I'm planning on not getting a refill unless I absolutely have to have it, I need a procedure to be done on the C3 and C4 medial branch nerves on the left side and C5 medial branch nerve on the right. Wonder if I can substitute dog urine on the next one? |
|
Why did the DEA order the doctor to submit your urine for a test? Is this standard procedure now when painkillers are prescribed?
|
|
Someone is about to get ass raped. The feds may even pee in his butt.
|
|
If the DEA wanted it, they can pay for it. That said, why would they even be involved?
|
|
Hmmm...I take a monthly wizz quiz as part of my pain management as well. I was explained that it is a new requirement, as is the slow progression of normal doctors not prescribing pain medication and deferring to a pain management specialist. Just part of the hoops that we must now jump through to get treated. Which is more annoying .....your pain...or big brother wanting your bodily fluids?

The DEA ordered a test on you and are charging you for it?
That doesn't sound right. Tag for more info. |

You're not some kind of spook are you? Why are they interested in you?

MD for 26 years.
Never heard of anything like that. Something is wrong with the story your doc is giving you. CP |

edited for clearity.
No spook, average white guy who owns guns and drives a truck. Thats what I am thinking but who knows...I called that lab that the office gave me and no one bothers to answer....color me shocked. The billing department at the Dr. office told me that mine is lowest that they've heard of the highest so far was $1500, and to their knowledge the patient refused to pay it. This lab also only sends out 2 bills according to the info I got (which could be right or not) and then wont send anymore, they wont bother collection agency because no one enforces payment. it would be my fucking luck that I'd be the one to get screwed over. Blood from a rock..... It is annoying that big brother wants my fluids, I mean shit at least the Army was nice about it. Dr charges me $39 for his piss test which is to make sure my kidneys and other filter organs are functioning. I guess I have to wait for the actual bill to come so I can give my eat shit and bark at the fucking moon speech. |

Just send the bill to your local DEA office, Attn: Accounts Payable, pay them no mind, and pay them no money! Bastards

I believe if the lab your doctor sends tests to isn't in your insurance company's preferred provider list they still have to pay it as you were not the one to choose which lab it was sent to. I've been through this several times. I gave a copy of the bill to my HR people who called the insurance company and dealt with it. In every case (quite a few at this point) the insurance company paid the bill. Whats even more amazing is the bill I got was for $100 but the insurance company only paid $20 and it was considered settled.

Start eating nothing but poppy seed bagels and muffins. Save the receipts. What happens should be fun!

They suspect you are selling your prescribed pills. If the test came back negative they would be up your ass.

edited for clearity. No spook, average white guy who owns guns and drives a truck. So. You are a professional truck driver? IIRC, there is a provision under NObamacare that requires the DOT to test any licensed driver for drugs and to do sleep apnea tests. You are prescribed the percoset, but if they find the levels too high, you lose your license or some shit. I may have heard wrong, but this might be the case. ETA: I am prescribed pain meds for degenerative disc disease. If the DEA asks me for a urinalysis, I'll tell them to get on their knees and open their cockholster. |

More and more folks who are prescribed Percocet, Oxycontin, Lortabs, etc. are being told to sign "pain contracts" where you will submit urine samples to ascertain several things:
1) That you are taking the prescribed meds as ordered, verified by a certain level in your blood. 2) If #1 is not up to par it is assumed that you are selling said narcotics. You will then have your prescription cut off. 3) If you come up positive for anything else (such as pot) you will have your prescription cut off. |

If you're reupping scrips and not using them, yes, it's an issue.
If you're on scrip #3 of a painkiller and you test completely negative, when there should have been significant buildup in your system, they have very-very good reason to suspect you're either hoarding in an attempt to get your dosage upped, or selling. I am not sure how it gets reported or called in, but I am willing to be this is their suspicion with you. If you have sold any, prepare for an assraping because this is just a supportive move to back up an already solid case. You will be fucked, sir. |

Pillheads will be the downfall of our fucking society. I have had to fire 3 employees in the last 5 years; All pillheads. Illicit drug users all have to accept that they're doing something illegal... Scoring blow is definitely illegal. Pills, however, they can rationalize as being 'ok' because a doc prescribed it somewhere along the line. Mrs. Johnson can mow down a bus full of nuns on Vics and Percs and it's ok... Kid down the street gets in a fender bender with a bag of pot and it's off to jail. YMMV |

I would refuse to pay it. It was done without your knowledge or consent.
I would also talk to a lawyer about an illegal search done without your consent. Why was the DEA interested in your piss. Oh and find a different fucking doctor, no way would I ever go back to that office again. From someone that gets pissed tested, there has to be a legal chain of custody. There has to be a certified sterile container that you open, If you did not inspect the seal and sign it and sign the paperwork that said you inspected the seal and signed it and the seal was intact and then that sample was signed for every time it changed hands, they have no legal grounds to claim that it was your piss. What got to the lab, could have been anybodies piss. |

Am I the only one on this board who would consider hiring a lawyer to look into the DEA violating my HIPPA rights, practicing medicine without a license (ordering a medical test), and failure to observe informed consent laws? Even acknowledging a specific person is a patient without a court order is a violation of federal law.
ETA and beating the dog piss out of my doctor for cooperating with a federal agency doing the above? |
