ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP)—Retired American race car driver and two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Al Unser Jr. has been arrested on drunken driving and reckless driving charges in New Mexico.

He still likes the fast lane

So did he look in the rear view and see the police lights and slur out, "What the hell is the pace car doing behind me?"

Pretty sad.  Little Al was once one of the greatest open wheel drivers in the country.

According to Arfcom, its a victimless crime and he is only hurting himself.

I saw him race multiple times at MIS back in his prime. He was an awesome driver, a legitimate champion son of a champion. Stories about his epic misuse of alcohol were around back then, later they were often linked with Paul Tracy when little Al's career started to really decline.

As usual with drunks, they can't recover from drinking as they get a bit older and their skills go away. They then start to exhibit more and more bad judgment resulting in things like this and his previous arrest for DUI in 2007.

Sadly, little Al has all the signs of a broken-down drunken loser. Hopefully they throw the book at him this time and he gets some prison before he kills someone.

he is a little punk-ass bitch.

his dad, however, was the real deal.

His dad was a great Indy 500 winner. Al Jr. had more career wins, two 500s and was CART Indy Champion twice when it was really competitive. Al Sr. had a total of 39 career victories. Al Jr. had 46 career wins and way more of them in CART Indy.

Little Al's career went away in the late 90s due to his competition getting the best of him when he got drunk and soft off the track. Two DUI's is the record of a punk bitch loser but he was a great driver, even compared to others named Unser.
