Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley: "We have the strongest immigration law in this country" (video)
''As governor and chief magistrate of the state of Alabama, I was named as a defendant in an ongoing lawsuit dealing with this law,'' Bentley said. ''Today, Judge Blackburn upheld the majority of our law and temporarily, and I say temporarily, enjoined only four sections.
''With those parts that were upheld, we have the strongest immigration law in this country,'' he said. ''I believe that all sections of our law will be upheld, and I will continue to work with our attorney general, Luther Strange, as we await Judge Blackburn's decision on the temporary injunctions, and if necessary, our appeals to a higher court.''
