Nah, once the story is put into context you see that he was just saying that its reaching the boiling point so to speak; But who the hell knows. Those people will lie to their own dogs.

... This is a tough poker hand.
(1) Arafat is at the end of his usefulness to the PA and and he is impotently rattling his dull saber to rally those few radical followers who will still listen to him. (2) He knows that there is a Sierra 168 HPBT in flight with his name engraved on it and he wants the world to believe he had something to do with a really big explosion that is going to happen after his death. (3) This is a product of another, seeming physiologically effective, Al Qaeda press leak. Like the bridge/subway/scuba diver/ hollow threats that grips Wall Street and keep our Homeland Defense Generals chasing shadows. In a way these can be considered wins for them even if the act never takes place. (4) He is aa brother of the evil Islamic Jihad family and he knows something. |

Did anyone else see the news footage the other day of Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak on the lawn outside the White House saying that it's our responsibility to work with Arafat? I didn't know whether to laugh or scream, really. I was hoping for a Secret Service agent to step from behind a bush and buttstroke him in the head.

in the book it was arabs who found a nuke from a crashed israeli A-4,they took it to syria(?).with money and blessings from iran and help from german terrorist they hired east german scientists to make the bomb a two stage nuke.the movie is just that hollywood trying not to offend the ragheads and screwing up a very good book.
