Don't know the name of the episode but its the one with Frank Gorshin. Him and one other guy are black on one side and white on the other.

Early on Gorshins character takes control of the Enterprise, needless to say, this is not acceptable to Kirk. So he decides to destroy it. "mine, is the final command. I WILL destroy it" remember that one? Well anyway, Kirk starts the destruct sequence followed by Spock then Scotty. However, sometimes when I've seen this episode Spock and Scotty are edited from this scene. Whats the reason for that? Just courious

Edided for the children, those pointey ears are scarry.

Seriously, probally just time reasons to make room for comercials sometimes, it's really not important the other 2 chime in, Kirk was the Bad Mother F***er

The episode is "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield".  As for the editing, it was more than likely done to fit the program into a fixed time period.

that one pretty much slaps you upside the head with the stupidity of racism. others the message is a little more hidden. but that one beats you with it.

My questions about Star Trek:

How come the doors always seemed to function OK?

Did they have restrooms?

Is the Holodeck a crutch for writers having lapses of imagination?

Who would you trust more?  Hillary or Quark?

Which one would you rather (gag) go to bed with?

For a list of edited scenes for syndication (to fit extra commercials) see "The NitPicker's Guide for Classic Trekkers", by Phil Farrand, IIRC. It lists the editing cuts for each episode that was clipped in syndication. I can't find my copy, just both volumes of Next Generation guides.

Sometimes I've seen one station/network show an episode edited one way and another station/network will show it edited another way.  It's all about how the individual programmer wants to get in those commercials to pay the bills.

How come Star Trek stories revolved mainly on temporal anomalies, holodeck malfunctions, and transporter malfunctions?

How come in old Trek the first 10 minutes of the show portrayed the problem and the next 50 minutes was spent trying to solve it, while in new Trek the first 50 minutes of the show portrays the problem and the last 10 minutes the solution?

I would like to add here, that the Star Ship Enterprise is a piece of junk.  How many times have you heard "the shields are failing", "the transporter has malfunctioned", "the warp engines are off line", 'the phasers are off line", "the scanners can't detect it", or something similar.

The damn things an Edsel.

Come on would any one really go to space in that piece of crap?

Hey Doublefeed,

Do you know where the quote I use came from?

Also, when it comes to the Enterprise, I'm just pointing out the facts.

[puke]      [rolleyes]

Does my quote bother you?

Like I said before, I did the best I could with the character limit.

A quote is a quote bad gammer or not.

Oh! BTW As far as grammer, and text spacing goes - They're home!Hurry, pourout the beer, killthe music, wipeup the mess,Peggyput your shirt on,Act Normal

I wouldn't think that you would have any room to comment.

Nothin' tries the patients of Warriors more than the Grammer Nazi!!!!!

Of Course I do!!

Really, No Offense Taken!

I'm just slinging a little back!

Oh, BTW the quote comes from the book "The Fire From Within" By Carlos Castaneda.  Chapter 2 Titled "Petty Tyrants".

Although it does sound like something Warf would say, because "today is a good day to die".

Wow, that's pretty cool, is it our next personel combat weapon?

If the OICW looks like a snowboard, it only stands to reason that the next generation would look like a smokin' platform.

Maybe we could transform it into a hookah?

Just a thought!

Careful guys.  Remember what Scotty did to Korax after he called the Enterprise a garbage scow!

Actually... this is more to the time period..

And who said that Sisko's little time travel back to the past didn't affect the progress of Star Fleet (unofficial-fan ship)
