Constables were attempting to serve a man with an emergency order to stay away from his wife, just hours before his wife was attacked and his son was found stabbed to death. Authorities say the body of 12-year-old David Amaya Junior was found late Thursday, after his father, 41-year-old David Amaya Senior was found dead of a self-inflicted stab wound. A spokeswoman for Brackenridge Hospital in Austin says Gloria Amaya is in fair condition. Gloria Amaya had applied for a protective order Wednesday, telling prosecutors that her husband had threatened her at a relative's house that morning. Gloria Amaya had become so frightened in recent weeks that she had separated from her husband. She had also given his picture to security guards at her job. On Thursday, investigators say he finally carried out his threats as constables attempted to serve him with the protective order. The constables had arrived at David Amaya Senior's former place of work when they heard of the attacks. He! had been fired earlier this week for failing to show up.
