I think the Novacaine numbed your brain.

And I've heard your not a nice person to be around all of the time.

suprised you are awake enough to type...the doc put me smooth out when I had mine out, IV and all.  Woke up later that night, took two codine and slept until noon the next day.  No pain and was eating solid food the next night.  My pits took almost a full month to completly fill in.

Good Luck!

Actually I thought your thinking of a place a little lower .... hasn't anyone told you that you shouldn't operate complicated machinery while on medication ?

Don't forget to wear your baby bib!

JK, I had all mine out on the same day and oh man did that leave an empty feeling in my mouth.

Oh, and I thought you converted your fridge into a safe.

Good ole US Navy medicine, I had all four wisdom teeth pulled at the same time.
Doc walked into the room, pumped 6 shots of novicane into my mouth and used a pair of pliers and a small paint scraper to remove my wisdom teeth.
I got 800mgs of Motrin and the rest of the day off when it was done.
I got two more days off when I went into work and didn't change the gauze pads.  I just sat at my desk and drooled blood on my shirt and desk till my supervisor sent me home.
Nothing is more fun than picking peanuts (or anything else small and hard, popcorn for instance) out of those holes in your head and jaw where the teeth used to be.
It really didn't hurt that much.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. BTW - Novocaine (procaine) is not used that much (at least by choice). Most dentists will use 2% lidocaine-HCl with 1:100,000 epinephrine. The esters (such as procaine) fell out of favor in the late 60s, with the advent of the amides (lidocaine, mepivacaine, prilocaine). The only ester with widespread use in dentistry is tetracaine (usually applied as a topical gel before the injection).
