Question for the experts...

The FAL rifle.  Do you call it an "f"-"a"-"l" ?  Or is it a "fal" or "fall"?
Cetme?
Any others?

BTW, i do know that HK is said like "hekler and coke", so i'm not a complete idiot on this one.

If it's an abbreviation (all CAPS)
just say the letters.

Then again there are some exceptions...

So how to pronounce FN-FAL then... seems easy to just pronouce it out! fnfal instead of ef en ef ai el bla bla bla bla.

Forgive my imperfect Belgian-ese spelling:

Fabrique Nationale-Fusil Automatique Legiere (fa-breek' nash-yon-el fyoo-zil aw-toe-ma-teek lee-jay)

It means "light automatic rifle."
