A guy that is ignorant of or misrepresenting his faith does nothing to convince me that any rational thinking human shouldn't oppose Islam wherever it appears.

Is this one of those "98% of Muslims are fake. Real Muslims want to do that there Jihad and kill all you Infidels. The only way to be sure is to kill all the Brown people and let God sort them out" threads?
I guess I'll have to tell my 09Ls that they can't come out on mission with us anymore. ETA: not referred to the OP...being prophetic. |

Islam is not like Catholicism, where there's a central authority. Islam is more like the category "Christian," where you have Catholics, Lutherans, and the Westboro Baptists. |

CJ OK I watched it; he makes some great points, stuff I hear from Librarians and people often opposed to the politics he exposes. But I didn't hear him say "my religion is bad and needs to pass into history". |

I'm not a Christian, but one of the big advantages of Christianity is that it was,in its early days, the state religion of the Roman Empire. That was a sweet gig, and the early church fathers defined Christianity so as to not step on the toes of the secular state. Christianity might at times have some annoying moralistic tendencies, but the New Testament relieves God of his legal duties. |

My cousins and uncle were as disgusted by 9/11 as I was. They're good people even if I think they're a bit weird. Bought more than a few of my guns from the uncle, no AK's or anything tho.
Of course, I guess they're technically Druze, so maybe that doesn't count. |
