The islamic (Ottoman) advance into Europe was halted at the battle/ siege of Vienna on 9/11/1683, after which their power and the caliphate tended to decline…

Rather interesting the events of 9/11/2001 would signal the resuming of muslems war with Western Civilization/ Christendom and ultimate efforts to dominate the world...

well, the battle started 9/11 - 9/12 according to the information I have...would seem to be some significants for Osama selecting this date out 364 others...eh?
