Thank God.  I know how you all feel, after the Monument Fire in Sierra Vista I just stood outside and cheered when it finally rained.

Great... I'm glad for you.  It is still hot, humid, and not one ounce of rain here in central Texas.

I was woke up at 6 this morning by what I thought was a broken pipe... it was my gutter leaking right outside my bedroom window.  We got about 0.3".

I went up to Fort Worth to pick up a motorcycle seat today... got a little rain on 35W around 12-1pm.  Not much.  Stopped in FtW for lunch and it rained for a few minutes.

Didn't get any on the way home to Austin.  It was cloudy when I got home closer to 6pm, but NO RAIN.

Central Texas is still DRY as a BONE.

2.5" early this morning in Eastland county (west of the metroplex).  What is considered central TX?  Because I was watching the radar, and this system stretched from the metroplex to well west of Abilene and it was moving due south all day.

Rain moved west to east, tracked along US190 from about 4pm to almost 6pm yesterday.  It was glorious!

So, in before the mudslide and flash-flood threads?

No, but seriously, is that going to be a problem for you guys now?

When I was wandering in the desert and was searching for the truth .

I heard a choir of angels calling out my name.

I had the feeling that my life would never be the same again

I turned my face towards the barren sun.

And I know, of the pain, that you feel the same as me.

And I dream, of the rain, as it falls upon the leaves.

And the cracks, in our lives, like the cracks upon the ground.

They are sealed, and are now, washed away.

You tell me we can start the rain.

You tell me that we all can change.

You tell me we can find something to wash the tears away.

You tell me we can start the rain.

You tell me that we all can change.

You tell me we can find something to wash the tears.

And I know, of the pain, that you feel the same as me.

And I dream, of the rain, as it falls upon the leaves.

And the cracks, in the ground, like the cracks are in our lives.

They are sealed, and are now, far away.

You tell me we can start the rain.

You tell me that we all can change.

You tell me we can find something to wash the tears away.

You tell me we can start the rain.

You tell me that we all can change.

You tell me we can find something to wash the tears.

I'm happy to hear that Texas is finally receiving some rain.  A couple of years ago Georgia was in a drought as well but the next preceding years took care of that.

It smelled so damn good too.  It hit my place around 3:00 this morning.  Ended up getting an inch here.  Not alot but it's more than I've seen in almost a year, keep it coming!  Things are so bad here, that they're talking about recycling the sewage for city drinking water.

I live between Houston and San Antonio-it is so dry we have a baby armadillo coming out before dark to drink out of the chicken water.  Have not seen rain for several months.  Pastures look like dirty brown carpet.  I have lived here for over thirty years and never seen it this bad.

When I was on 35W at around 1PM, the outside temperature was showing at 77!

When I got back to Austin, it was only 95... down from 102 or so that it has been for a while.

Its now raining in East NC! Took me a while to figure out what the strange stuff
falling out of the sky was. Oh and not the result of a thunderstorm, but a real

rain.

We have not seen the first damn drop here in E Texas.  Trees are dropping leaves and starting to die, big limbs breaking off.  I have lived here 32 years and am seeing large ponds bone dry, not a single drop of water, for the first time.
