http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/176755-obama-campaign-perrys-record-a-carbon-copy-of-dc-republicans By Michael O'Brien - 08/13/11 01:49 PM ET Texas Gov. Rick Perry's (R) record is a "carbon copy" of Washington Republicans, President Obama's reelection campaign said of the newest candidate for the GOP presidential nomination. The Obama campaign sought to lump Perry together with the Tea Party, and charged that his economic record as governor, about which he often brags, is not being what it seems. "Governor Perry’s economic policies are a carbon copy of the economic policies of Washington Republicans," said Ben LaBolt, the Obama campaign's press secretary. LaBolt pointed to Perry's endorsement of the "Cut, Cap and Balance" approach to addressing the debt-ceiling that many of the other presidential candidates had backed. That plan passed the House, but failed to make its way through the Senate. |

The Swift Boat Sailors who came out against Kerry were standing up for what they believed in. The Dems. use it as a derogatory term because it helped sink (pardon the pun) John Kerry's campaign. The Dems. see it as sneaky and underhanded when all it was was sailors who served with John Kerry coming out and telling the world that Kerry was an opportunistic A-Hole who didn't deserve the medals he got. Republicans should look at "Swift Boat Politics" in a positive light. It only helped them. |

No, not at all..I think it's in the media lexicon as an attempt to sink someone's campaign with "revelations" about their past. No harm meant, only making a point using terminology the media will try. If not for the swift boat sailors, Kerry might have very well waltzed in with no contest. This is the main thing that bothered about Obama..and the media picked up on it. There was nothing to see in his past...nothing of consequence to them. They did not know who he was. Even Brokaw made that point..he said, "We don't know who Obama is". Well, we do now. |

Haha! It's on Democratic Underground's front page! Haha...we know who they are scared of.
6 Perry posts, 2 Romney's, 1 Bachman on their breaking news...I think I see a pattern developing here. |

12 discussions on DU's general discussion, 1 Ron Paul post they support his issues.
They are calling Perry gay, Nazi, stupid, lunatic, monster, killer...they even got Perryisms on there. Holy cow...DU is about to implode with hate. |

Somebody needs to do one of those "Hitler downfall reaction scene" videos for this.
Serious question - did the 0we-bama campaign react this way when Gary Johnson announced his run? Or Newt Gingrich? They've gotta' be scared. Must be nice to be Sarah Palin right now, all the pure, unadulterated liberal hate is going to go someplace else. -Gator |

If one good thing about the Republican field being so damn big, it's that the Doucheocrates will spend a ton of $$$ on all the fronts that will be popping up, trying to counter everything, this is going to cost a pretty penny, hence the reason those socialist fucktards are trying to get all that dough in their coffers.

Hardly an attack. Sounds like they are pointing out his strong points |

The left is scared shitless of Perry. Yet they don't seem very worried about any of the other candidates. That alone speaks volumes about who we need to nominate. Perry is the only candidate in the field who can likely beat Obama because he is the only candidate who can excite the base, raise massive amounts of money, has highly successful executive experience, possesses name recognition and has the charisma/energy needed to topple Obama. He is Obama's worst nightmare.

They have to be just as vocal as the opposition. |
