HOUSTON (KTRK) –– One person was killed and two others injured after a shooting at a small apartment complex near downtown Houston.

It happened just before midnight Friday during a birthday party at an apartment on Truxillo near Ennis.

According to witnesses, a dog belonging to one of the victims bit a man who was attending the birthday party. That's when the man pulled out a gun and started shooting, police said.

Three people were struck. One of them –– the dog's owner –– died at the scene. The other two were rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital in serious but stable condition.

The victims' names have not been released.

Investigators say the suspect is still at large.

An oppressed gentleman is  standing on the corner with a pit bull dealing crack.  Another oppressed gentleman attempts to rob him.  The dog attacks the second oppressed gentleman; hilarity ensues.
