Can't wait to hear the suggestions.

But there are a lot of tech guys here and I'm looking for ideas.

I've been in IT for 15+ years now.
I've never done any paid work on the side other than for family and friends occasionally.

It was suggested to me to try to start a "business" (quotes because I have little funds and I'm starting with only a few customers) charging a monthly fee to remote in to a PC/Server and run basic maintenance, upgrades and virus/malware scans.
Take some of the basic Network Admin tasks on the road, so to speak.

There are thousands of companies that do this now.
Where can I find a roadmap of how to go about this myself?
Such as legal forms and the bare bones to set up a company to accept check and credit card payments.

I know, I just asked a simple question that has a library of answers but I've seldom been let down getting great answers from members here.

Stay away from freelance web design work. You'd be amazed how hard it is to get people to pay up.

I pretty much did this in the late 90's up in Joplin, Mo.

I just put small ads in the local paper every few weeks.

Ended up taking care of a couple churches, a city hall, police dept., and various individuals regularly.
