2-3X the costs of a Barrett 50. for a .338 just does not seem right. Barrett sells its .338 for under 5K, how much better is the AI???? IIRC .338s have an incredibly short service life too.

I wouldn't know, I've not used either myself.

But AI rifles do have a fantastic reputation for quality, and of course accuracy.
