Damm, this is getting all messed up.

No I did not serve 30 years in the NAVY,I did not serve one day.
I spent 30+ years working and now I can afford not to work anymore.
My son just left on his third deployment in 5 years (CVN) and I wanted to gift a membership to a sailor because I know what they have to go through.

Sorry for any confusion

Ah, gotcha.

What ship is your son on?  I was on the commissioning crew of Truman, quite a few years ago now.

Thank you sir for your generosity.

I once took an M1 tank on a short cruise in a mud pond.  It floated for about 30 seconds, and then went to periscope depth.  Since that time, I have also landed several aircraft "Navy Style"

Please let me know if I qualify.

CVN74 John C Stennis

Most of the gifts here seem to go to the guys on the ground and they deserve it, I felt the NAVY deserved something also.NAVY was slow so Coast Guard got it.
