Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) has proposed a bill in the Senate that would close the loophole by simply extending existing federal law to include gun shows. The House version is the McCarthy-Castle bill. Huh, that's weird. When I voted this morning it hit 94%. A lone anti at his computer must have submitted a bunch of votes...
Interestingly, I used the legislative rating tool to the left on that website. My local congresscritter, a Republican, had a score of 5, so I figured it was a 1-10 scale. Next I looked up my Senators (you know who they are). Feinstein - 80 Boxer - 100 (I'm assuming that's a perfect score if you're a neo-fascist.) |
