Tattooed Listeners Sue Over Radio Stunt
Listeners Have Call Letters Tattooed On Foreheads

POSTED: 9:42 a.m. CDT May 28, 2002

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Two men in eastern Iowa are suing a radio station after a promotional stunt.

Two fans of a quad cities radio station said the announcer at KORB promised them $30,000 a year for five years if they tattooed the station's call letters on their foreheads.

The two men got permanent tattoos, and now they're suing for $150,000.

The men said they met with officials at KORB Radio to make sure the offer was legitimate.

One man was fired from his job after showing up at work with the new tattoo. A trial date has not been scheduled.

If they met with  the radio station officials to make sure the offer was legit why didn't they figure it out then that it was bogus?

edited to add: they're still dumbasses for getting the tattoo, even it was a real contest.
