Quoted: LMOA.....Damn Dude....what a wuss...!!!!!!! That's actually pretty silly to make fun of. That rifle is a .577 caliber weapon with over 11,000 foot pounds of energy. The recoil is unmanagable. And talking of recoil, this rifle has is it in spades! Admittedly, it is fitted with the A-SQUARE Coil-Check stock, which has three mercury reducers and the pad area is significantly larger than a normal stock. Both of these modifications to the stock will help reduce recoil. Still, any cartridge that produces over 11,000 foot pounds of energy is going to give you a good whalop. And I guarantee you, you are not going to be disappointed! Unfortunate that some moron at a radio station decided to send it out without any context to imply the exact reaction that all of you had. You fell for it hook-line and sinker too. Tisk-tisk. |

tatjana, do you have a piture of the weapon you are referring to that he is shooting in the movie ?
But even if he is shooting a .577, the movie is still funny. And since we are pointing out things. I believe the man is of Indian descent not Palestinian. But I digress... Point of the whole thing was to get a laugh, unfortunately some ppl are harder to tickle than others. Oh well... |

i am not proud to admit that i had a similar experience with a new england arms 12 ga with 3&1/2" shell a couple of months ago. steel buttplate planted squarely on my shoulder, the durn thing nearly took my arm off. i was bruised for about a week.
i did good though, good solid hit on the target. and while it did try to get away from me, i maintained a grip on the piece, and then commenced to cursing, and my friends to laughing. best of all, we happened to get the whole thing on video! |
