As I've said before I am seriously bored today. So I'm sitting here thinking "How many people on this board actually own an AR?"

So what have you got or plan to get?

Myself, I have an Armalite M15A4c in green furniture with an ATN Ultra site, Harris "H" bipod, super sling, and a few Thermold Mags.

Just checking.

Guns are bad. I only own a rubber suction dart gun, and I keep a trigger lock on it.

Pre-ban Oly HBAR (and when I say pre-ban, I mean pre-ban, as in pre-G.W. Bush, Sr.-ban.) It shoots well but has a kinda gritty trigger that I'll get around to smoothing out or replacing one of these days.

Yep, a bushmaster shorty AK. Looking to trade the AK break upper for a 20" V Match though. Then get a FAL, then a revolver, then a .45, then a .22 pistol, then a .50, then an AK-47, then a  ... oops, sorry.

What's an AR15?  It's a GUN?????

Don't have one yet, since they're expensive and I don't have much money. I spent most of the money I could spare to get my first pistol, which it more likely to be handy should I need to defend myself. I'll probably get one when I get out of college and get a real job.

Paul,

Looks like you've got a nasty addiction going there.  How bout I help take a few of those off your hands.  Consider it "therapy". [:D]

How about this for an AR addiction.

1 AR180
1 Carbon 15
1 Bushy M4
1 Oly Shorty
1 SOCOM lower the Bushy varminter 24" upper
1 RRA lower with an Oly 9mm upper
2 RRA lowers with Colt 20" HBAR units

Eight is not enough!

How's this for the lead paragraph in the newspaper:

"Today, police raided the home of Paul the Moderator and found an arsenal of assault weapons and thousands of rounds of ammunition."

Thank you Paul for enjoying your hobby and your passion and sharing it with us. While my collection is not quite as extensive as yours, I do admire your brash display.

When I bought my AR, I remember thinking "I'd better get this while I can!"  I'm glad I did.  That was 1991.  My HK was a similar story, but unfortunately, I was too late for the 1989 human rights violation (import ban).  Oh well, I like my SR9 too.

nope I don't own any...

I don't want to be responsible for contributing to another senseless death that is caused by military style firearms. They are used solely to kill children and innocent criminals.

Why would any sensible person want to own such an evil thing?
Didn't you people learn anything from MMM?

Okay, Paul, how many of those are currently in your immediate possession and in fully assembled and operable condition?

Spare parts kits with no lower receivers don't count. [;)]

What?  Guns?

All this time I have been wondering what the big deal is on preban, postban, legality, ballistics, barrel length, and cleaning techniques.

I've also wondered how anyone could have one AR-15 since they come in pairs everywhere that I have seen.

Now it is all clear to me.  You see, I have been posting this whole time thinking that AR15.com was a site dedicated to the AR-15 speakers from Acoustic Research.

I would never own a gun.  They turn the average citizen into a war mongering survivalists and murdering criminals.  They are evil incarnate and all gun owners must be stopped!!!

Shadowblade,

That is funny about the acoustic research ar-15's.  I had that pic of the ar-15's as my sig pic for a couple days, but figured nobody would get it.  At least you would have.

Yeah. I'm going to have to sell it. Why? I need the money to fix my truck.
Edited to say that I am holding off advertising it as long as possible, trying to figure some other way to get the bucks.

Thanks. I appreciate the thought. If I have to sell the AR to fix the truck, I will sell the truck and get a new AR. At least that's how it's working in my head.[:|][:\]
