Has anyone heard what the outcome was of the shooting by a Deputy Sheriff of two Special Forces candidates near Fort Bragg a few months ago?

I think they pretty much cleared the sheriff of any culpability in the weeks following the shooting.

Not positive though.

Ya - the deputy was cleared, and rightfully so.  

Situation was attributed to a "breakdown in communications" and the Lt. was considered to have died of the dumbs.

I get my information from a Jeepin' buddy who lives spitting distance from the Robin Sage TAOR...
