You lose access to cleaning kit storage, which weighs more than the aluminum butt-plate. So much for the fixing the "nose heavy" problem.
As for busting down doors with your AR, your stock will likely break at the stock/receiver junction. At that point, your shattered plastic butt-plate will be the least of your problems. Pass. |

Knock down doors are the only reason see for having the butt plate..
*************************** We used to design, build and inspect M16 (AR15) components for the US Government. We inspect our parts on an advance Computerized Mitutoyo Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to a sampling plan that is more ridged than our US Govt! (Ask our competitors if they check bore diameter, lug size, pivot pin position, ETC.) In addition to over $100,000 in inspection equipment we utilize an Angstrom V950 Spectro Chemical Analyzer¡Kwhat does this mean to you? We do a destructive sample on incoming material to verify the alloy¡¦s elements are in the required range. We perform a harness check using the latest optical impression reading device from New Age Industries. You don¡¦t get second hand parts or overruns from RB Precision, you get Quality ***************************** All that for a butt plate?? and Colt use plastics? Edited to add. doesn't it smell like some employee is making this using company equipment, maybe after hour? |
