Thirty-five years ago, a day after the Israel Independence Day parade in 1967,
Egypt put itself on a war footing. Syria promised to support its ally.
Egyptian forces then closed the Strait of Tiran, blocking the country's
access to the Red Sea.
The country realized it was in a fight for its life. Hostile enemies on all
of our borders were closing in. Leaders of Arab governments were
calling for the state's destruction.
In a lightning-fast but brutal six days the Israeli Defense Forces swept
out the invaders and expanded the country's boundaries. Central to the
battles was the fight to reunify Jerusalem under Israeli and Jewish rule.
The 19-year-old stake through the heart of the city that kept Jews from
the Old City and the Western Wall was quickly torn down,
and a joyous reunification occurred.

If you love your own freedom and your own right to exist,
your own right to believe and worship the way you want
or don't want to, How can some of you here condemn
Israel and deny them the same right?
The same right to protect themselves, the same right to
defend their way of life is what America is now as well?
Is it just ok for America and not the rest of the world ?
Or ok for everyone but Israel?
