I know this is Dailymail but it seemed interesting:

WikiLeaks may have triggered the killing of Osama Bin Laden, it was suggested last night.

For
although the CIA has thought since September that he was in hiding in
Abbottabad, special forces stormed his fortress only days after the
website published new secret documents.

These made reference to
named ‘couriers’ carrying Bin Laden’s message to his followers, and also
to Abbottabad as a possible Al Qaeda bolthole.

So Obama may have waited longer to act?

Yes he would have waited until a month or two before the election to ensure victory.   Now he shot his load the real problems will overcome this minute of glory

God I hate defending Obama, but maybe some of that time was spent planning and making sure where OBL was really at.

It's my understanding that Osama was never actually sighted at the compound. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You're probably right.  Obama had to finish personally planning the mission.

...I still can't believe he said that.

They built a mock up of the compound in order for the SEALs to be familiar with it during the raid.  No way that happened within 3 days of the actual raid.

This makes some sense, actually.

That's not what the article is arguing. They don't deny there had been significant preparations for some time. The question is whether the Wikileaks dump that included the identity of the courier forced Obama to act sooner than he planned; because Osama would have realized his cover was blown.

The other side of that coin says that if the wiki leaks were truthful, if the kenyan had waited he would have been blamed for not taking OBL out when he had the chance––- just like Clinton's missed opportunity.

The Situation Room pic with the kenyan and his 'team' was a priceless photo-op shot and will be replayed throughout his reelection campaign.

The acrimony of failure in this one task would have hung like a stinking albatross around his neck more glaring than all his other failures... in a reelection year.

The prick kenyan has a record of interference and obstruction and worked hard to exploit the left's anger over the wars and intel gathering.

Now, once he was anointed, his epiphany led him to at least stop the outright criticism of military activities and exploit some possibilities that LOSING the wars and causing further military loss wasn't going to do him a damned bit of good for the reelection campaign he was planning.

In the end, he's taking credit for making a decision that was already made 10 years before he arrived. He still hates and despises America and will continue to be a marxist ideologue hell bent to create his socialist state... and he'll turn that same SEAL team against American's when the time is right and it suits his political purpose.
