My money is on a combined team like the SF ran during Operation Anaconda called AFO (Advanced Force Operations)

SOCOM is a combatant command, JSOC is one of it's subordinated headquarters.
JSOC is the command American military special mission units report. SMUs normally are not pure units, they are task forces made of specialists from various elements from various services. A majority Naval Special Warfare unit on a raid like this would also take Air Force Controllers and ride in Army helicopters and may have joint elements like those from the Army of NOVA. |
