I remember during the debates him saying something along the lines of Osama should be the goal or we took our eyes off the goal.

So, will Obama declare victory and pull troops out of Afghanistan in time to help his re-election? I don't think it's all a big conspiracy, but I'm sure he knows that an unpopular war won't help him in the polls.

Yep. This greases the way for Obama to quickly pull out of Afghanistan, Iraq, and Gitmo, and let the ROP/commies take over and kill a few million people.
