[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Body armor - plates for women?

Looking for level IV rifle plates for me and my fiancee. Is a 8"x10" or 10"x12" going to be an issue with her lady parts(36C)?
Do I have other options?
This is the best pic you are getting to be coc compliant.
ETA: I know they made soft vests that are curved for boobs but I'm interested in Hard rifles plates

Sports bra may help. Not the most comfortable option I would guess, but it should work to hold the girls where they need to be ; not where they look the best.

Never tried it, but I'd imagine there's going to be some coverage issues regardless, due to the trapezoidal cut of the design. It wouldn't be a problem for an A or a B perhaps...

Plates are never "comfortable" I believe even the military esapi's are 2 curve. It's been a while since I have worn them though.

I'd be more concerned with the fit of the carrier, it makes more difference in how the armor is presented.

B or C cup ceramic plates. These shouldnt be all that hard to fabricate.

(yeah, there are bigger but they happen to be my favorite, okay?)

Did you even ask her if she wanted you to make this fairly expensive purchase for her?

Seeing as how the military uses standard plates for females, you could emulate their choice.

Women in the military use the same plates as men. If you really want to get her plates, you can get her the same plates that you would get yourself.

Seems to me that the "enhanced" areas would (depending on angle) either deflect the round or funnel it into softer areas. Not good in my book
