I'll never forget that fateful day. I had just finished reading a longish piece about Roland Ratzenberger that I downloaded from the Compu$erve motor racing forum. Then the race started, and I saw the crash. I kept hoping against hope that somehow Senna had survived the crash. When I saw the helicopter lift off, somehow I knew that we had lost him.
