We have plenty of illegals here, and they didn't swim this far.
 Probably just passing thru Canada.

A ton of them migrated from FL and parked themselves in Windsor a few years back. Naturally they demanded their "human rights".
Only thing Windsor was figuring out was how to pay for them.

I saw this in Ontario (I lived there for couple of years back in the late 200X's). Hell, I had a family that would clean my house who lived in Houston about the same time I did back in the 90's.
It was easier for them to get legal residency in Canada (and public assistance while moonlighting for cash) than it was in Texas. The head of the family, an older geezer about my age, drove a better car than I did at the time. (but then again, I'm a cheap bastridge - I got 20 years out of that Accord ).
