Does the US military have an issue suppressor?....and a quick detact flash hider? The KAC model is the only one I have ever heard of, and while I have seen quite a few M4s they all had standard A2 flash hiders.

We have KAC suppressors issued to us.

There are a couple of different flash hiders out there.  B.E. Meyers is my favorite of the issued flash hiders.

Yes. KAC suppressors with the QD mount were common a few years ago in SF

ETA: The flash suppressor mount almost looks like a regular bird cage at first glance.

KAC is issued for the M-4. They use that flashhider with the notch cut out, to locate the suppressor. The QD is built in.
Theres also the ops inc.for the mk12.
Mk13 uses one made by KAC, so does the m110.
The ti-rant is issued to some units for the sig.
HK suppressors on the mp5 and mk23.

AAC and SureFire provide nearly all of the new military cans in the last few years.

The KAC M4QD/NT4 is still the issued M4/Mk18 can for SOCOM units.
Mk11 and Mk13 use the .308 KAC supressor.
Mk12 is issued with the OPs 12th model.
Mk17 (SCAR-H) is issued with an AAC.
I have heard that CAG likes the Surefires.
DEVGRU uses AAC on their HK416's and the AAC Tirant-S on their HK45C's.
When the Mk23 was issued they had the KAC .45 SOCOM can for them.

Thanks for the info folks.......I have may have seen M4 w/KAC QD and didn't notice it. This topic came up with co workers , they got some pictures taken at a base in Italy with M4s and asked me what kind of rifles they were holding.......silly Brits. The M4s had KAC RIS/RAS, but old style CAR style buttstocks

Most of the go fast boys in the Army are rocking Surefires, so I've heard.
