Out of curiosity, I asked a vendor at a show what the difference between the red and green fuse was. His answer: color. I'm not being sarcastic, I think there is no difference. Maybe a model rocket hobbyist can help us? -White Horse |

I think color denotes either length of the cord or the speed of burn in ft/min. Cannon fuse should carry it's own oxidizer and should burn under water.

What you are seeing at the fun shows is called "visco fuse" and all have similar burn rates of 3 sec per inch. Yes, it is waterproof, and will burn IF it is ignited before submersion or the ends are sealed.
I have seen red, green and blue cannon fuse and the only difference was the color of the lacquer coating. |

sorry folks but color on cannon fuse denotes size 1/8th, 7/64ths & 5/32, !!
