Anderson Mendoza, 16, of the 6700 block of South Kedvale Avenue was shot in the chest and pronounced dead Saturday night in Mt. Sinai Hospital Medical Center, according to a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner's office.

The other teenager was taken to Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn. A hospital spokeswoman could not provide his condition Sunday night.

Police were unsure how many suspects were in the Caprice and did not have descriptions of them Sunday. No motive had been determined.
