Robert Heinlein wrote a couple of neat novels on this subject:
"The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" and "Red Planet" The latter is aimed more at young people, but it's still a good read. |

[i]Martian Chronicles[/i], Ray bradbury. Great book. One certain chapter of that book,(I won't spoil it, but those who have read it can probably guess), gave me nightmares for years.

I've read "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress". Excellent book, lot of key points about any type of revolution in that book and how propaganda is always used on both sides and normally the people that succeed in revolution are no better fit to govern themselves than the people they revolted against.
"Red Planet" doesn't have anything to do with the movie does it? Sounds like I'm going to have to grab a copy of the "Martian Chronicles" also. |

Red Planet is also a very pro-gun book.
